Love to hate it.....

Life, Ah…., just as I say that word it makes me think, what is it?, is it something we love to live, or is it something we live to hate, or is it a combination of both… don’t worry no philosophy is coming from this journalism student(Who doesn’t know banana’s worth of journalism :P), but if I have to say about my life, it has been a roller coaster, literally, I mean I am finding new things everyday, which sometimes bore me cause they are the same things.., but sometimes they surprise me to a extent where I ask a question to myself “Do I really know the REAL ME?” well that exact question was answered a couple of days ago

My shopping friend ‘D’, I guess you have read her exploits earlier, If not read it here and here well I honestly dint believe that a person who doesn’t know what she is gonna do the next moment (except chat on her phone or eat ice cream all day :P), would make me experience my life in such a way that would surprise even me.

Well the 2 instances that you are about to experience now, taught me that sometimes what we hate to do, can turn out to something, we would love to do again.

#1. Last Friday as soon as classes got over, plans were made to watch a film, film in my friend’s circle strictly means only kannada, cause reason one being ‘Good’ English films don’t come very often here, and hindi.. woh toh kisi koh samjh may hi nahi aati (Because it is not understood by any :P) except me and a couple others (and to think these are all Hindustani’s lol :P)

So, we were deciding upon the film, when I asked “Which is the film?”

All (A group of ten) replied, “When you get to the theater you will know….”

I knew I was in trouble, I guessed either it would be a cry baby film, or a chick flick(both are same right? :P), but I heard my mind say “Dude you have no idea….” And it smiled an evil grin.

My mind usually doesn’t interfere, but I know whenever it does, it will be a experience which I would remember my whole life, just like when it had spoke on 2 previous occasions, and both the times it had got me stitches, one on my chin and another in the back of my head ;).

We got to the theater when I finally got the surprise, that the film was ‘Arya-2’

Don’t let the horses of your brain run afar, it is a telegu film (yeah, they are making sequels in regional films too nowadays :P).

I backed out my hands that instant saying I was not coming, as I dint understand one word of telegu, They said you have too… when my mind suddenly interrupted “Friendship can make you do many crazy things, like drinking tequila and throwing up in a disco or jumping out of an airplane without parachute… what’s this… dare boy dare….”

I hit my head and retorted back saying “I can’t, I don’t know a word in that language, it would be like watching a Chinese movie without subtitles, spare me, I hate telegu films”

I begged and cried (with fake tears of course :P), but to no avail, they literally were dragging me into the theater, I was a holding a lamp post just like a dog hugging to its bone , when suddenly ‘D’ came to me and said in a threatening tone “Listen….I am crazy (No doubt there, I said to myself :P) , I mean ccccaaaarrrrrraaaazzzyyyyyy fan of the film’s hero….. allu arjun, even I don’t know telegu(surprise, surprise), still I love to watch him, but I am not going in there without all of my friends, so don’t act crazy, and get your ass in there, or else I will never talk to again” same threat followed with all the others

I was in full surprise, because, barring 2, none in our group knew telegu, I was wondering why are they all so excited to see the film?, but when I looked at ‘D’ smiling I knew… she being a crazy fan of the hero had convinced all that it is a superb film, and as she is THE moodiest person on earth…, all had succumbed…

I said ok, but I got the real shocker when I got to know the ticket fare, “Shell out 170 bucks” she said, I silently gave her the money,

“Extortion, that’s what it is” I cried after her…

“What?” she replied turning back

“Nothing, damn mosquitoes…” I said waving my hands, at that time my mind was laughing like the joker in the film dark knight “170 bucks for a movie which you will not understand a single word… Muhuhaha… one more addition to the ‘most-stupid-thing-ever-done’ list”

I hit my head and said “Be Silent…..” Couple of girls gave me a weird look, smiling nervously at them, I went inside.

Ah the movie…….it was………….. Hell, I mean, the songs were good, I guessed I could understand even chinese to some extent, but not this, and the only image that was flashing in my mind was of a Sikkim girl who studies in our class, because classes are usually done in kannada, and at that moment I knew how her suffering would be everyday, My mind dint leave me here too, it began “Your reputation of ‘No1 Kanjoos’ was ripped to shreds today…. Congrats… but don’t worry, look...The heroine is cute... Maybe she will say ‘I love you thousif’, but you will never know.. Muhuhaha”

I hit my head again, I had a headache and I dint knew, was it due to the film or due to me hitting my head, “Awesome film na?” asked ‘D’ in the interval, I showed her a thumbs up sign with a smile (fake one of course), and took in the grueling second half, everyone was laughing at the jokes except me…

Finally the film ended and I ran outside the theater and waited for others… It was my turn to threaten “Everyone of you are coming to 3 idiots when it comes out….anybody backing out … I won’t talk to anyone” (No we are not 2nd grade children, but honestly we are people studying our masters :P)

All gave me big smiles and said “Sure”, and the biggest smile was of ‘D’

Suddenly I dint feel so angry on anyone, but happiness engulfed me from inside as I saw them smiling towards me,

#2…… Monday… I came to class, looking at me the group said “We are bunking class, and going to an engagement of our senior’s sister in a village some 150 Kms away”,

“But you know na yaar, I hate travelling…” I said

“Nothing doing, get your ass in gear, we have a train to catch” they said pulling me out of the class and we went.

‘D’ was on the train before anyone, all dressed up, “Hi.. you came?... I am surprised” she said

“Yeah me too” I replied

We reached the place, my ass aching due to the journey and I got another surprise when I learned that we have to go in a goods carrier auto to the place, so we went…. seniors and juniors all including a group of 16 in an auto(If you think how we fit in, don’t ask…), humps were pounding my ass like hammers but as I was going, I saw the lush greenery of the fields which is nowhere in a city, the sun silently smiling from above, the fresh air purifying my lungs, and the screaming by all like monkeys gone wild, I said to myself this is not half bad, but only when I got to the place did I find the real surprise…

The senior called everyone into the home, and we sat beside 200 tons of tobacco (They are agriculturists) and kids playing beside, but it took my breath away when I saw the house layout, Even though the hall was small, the woodwork of the ceiling was like rainbow painted across the sky, and it was so cool in the house even in the boiling sun outside, I mean I have had perspiration even in an AC room in Mysore (sure I had an exam that day :P).

The engagement took place and I saw the whole village had come to participate, there were traditional pujas, music, and it seemed like the whole village was celebrating some sort of festival, we had lunch and when we were to leave, when the senior came to us and said:

“Thank you all for coming, I am so very happy that you all came” she said specifically pointing at me, and gave us the biggest smile I have ever seen, sure the ride back included 13 people crammed in an Omni car (my legs and ass still hurt..), but the experience was invaluable, as I saw the things I never knew existed, and got to see the smile which I could have never seen in my entire life :).

These 2 things that I hated to do till that day taught me one very important thing, that sometimes, what you hate to do, if it brings a smile onto your friends face, I guess one should do it, cause we would not lose anything as we already hate to do it, but if we do the same, the happiness and smile that comes on to your friends face is worth it for every second that it lasts, I mean it’s absolutely worth it…

And, a merry Christmas to everyone of you, may god's blessing be always on you, and may you have a fabulous new year, I thank all my readers for being there for me all this year, and i look forward for your 'divine' presence next year you all :)

Till next time, keep smiling and make your friends smile too…. Take care. :)

The F.I.R Adventure

What is that one part of human life that a person will never forget in his entire life?,

Marriage..? (I guess men would never accept that :P) Your first kiss, ah... how can one forget that, but err… lets not stray away from the subject shall we…Lemme say the answer myself (As alwayz :P),

Its college life.

Because that is the place where you “mature” (In you thinking that is :P), you find friends who will stay with you throughout your whole life, where we live to learn a new “experience” everyday, and it was just the same for me.

When I was studying for my degree, I thought this life and I am so lucky to have it, I had tons of fun, messed around (Studied a bit too ;)), and got through with (Not so) flying colors.

When degree came to an end, I said to myself, “That’s it Thousif bhai, Time to get serious about life”. I guess god heard the disappointment in my voice that day, so he decided to extend my ‘happiness’ a bit more, and I came to Mysore to pursue my masters in journalism.

Coming from a small town, the new city gave me experiences I had never had, it gave me sense of freedom never attained before, and I found a new me…

From wearing a Saree, to jumping in to a lake half naked (even if there were girls looking around :P), From creating waves in panel discussions (As I was the only English talking kid in the group) to winning prizes in fests (even though it was just a 3rd :P), and to say that I am just getting started, makes it all the more lovely…

Looking at it you might be thinking studying might have taken a backseat, but that is where the real fun is, oh.. the sleeping in back avoiding the lecturer’s eyes(that too in the 1st period :P), the passing of comments and jokes, it’s even more fun than my degree, If you thought people doing masters are ‘respectable and disciplined’, you have to think again if you saw me with my pals.

The exploits are many but I am gonna share a new one with you, which showed me a side of law never seen before.

Couple of months ago, our Reporting ma’am ‘M’ had said for the practical record, we have to Procure F.I.R’s of 2 crime cases and one accident case, let me say in her words exactly as to how we were to do it:

“I want the reports first hand, if you see a crime and can report it, that would be great, but if you think you are one of gandhi’s monkey and can’t see a crime going on, then go to a police station and look into the F.I.R’s and copy them, same applies for accident cases, and for the interview assignment, I want you reporting some big shot. Ok”

When she said those words I was surprised so much that I fainted, when I got up in the hospital, all my classmates were beside me with a notepad in their hands asking questions, so that they could report about the ‘accident’. :P

Ok that was a lie, but still it surprised me, as I was from management background I had absolutely no idea how to do it, and I was thinking interviewing might be easy, but F.I.R’s how am I gonna get those? (I was a small town boy in a big strange city you see ;)), When I was talking on phone with my dad one day, the matter came up and he said “No problem beta(son), You come here, and I will arrange them for you”

I was so relived and when I came to my place dad took me to the police station, and that was where the real ‘Experience’ began.

Lemme explain there are 2 police stations in out place, City and Rural, we first went to city police station expecting that we would find the reports there, but a couple of constables there said,

“You won’t find them so easily, first you have to write an application to the sub inspector, and only if he gives permission you can access them, but in addition you have to pay a bank challan of 21rs each for an F.I.R, and we don’t have accident F.I.R’s here so you better go to the rural police station”.

That’s not so tough I thought, and we both went to the rural police station and gave the application to the sub inspector, his words shocked me

“Well it’s not a child’s play kid, we just cannot give FIR reports to anyone” he said mocking me

I said “Sir I am doing masters in journalism, and I want it for my record work, nothing else”

“But I can’t….” he said with a mischievous grin, I was like why is he acting like that, when he can give it, does he want us to plead? Just as I was thinking that, when my dad suddenly barged in and said
“It’s just for his studies; please, If you could help out it would be helpful for him”.

“Hmmmm……… ok” he said seeing my dad pleading, I got furious seeing the inspector’s change, but I kept silent, he then ringed the bell for the constable to come in, and said “Call the F.I.R handler”.

“The constable said “He has gone for lunch Sir”

“You better wait” said the inspector pointing to us…

We waited, and it was 3 pm, we haven’t even had lunch, we asked the constable at what time he would be back and he said that he had gone at 2.30 and will be only returning at around 4.

“Lunch for that long…?” I said,

“Government officials what can you say”, my dad said sarcastically, as there was an hour we thought of going back to home have lunch and get back, on my way I asked dad: “When he was going to give us the reports anyway, at first why did he deny?, and why was he talking to me like a +12 student, when he knew I was a PG student?”

My dad replied coolly “He is a police officer beta, he wants to show he has the power, that he controls, and only if he agrees our work can be done” hearing him I was like, what has the world come to.

We got back at 3.30, the F.I.R handler hadn’t been back, we waited, bless that day for sehwag was playing brilliantly, I and my dad watched him hit a double century in the police station, but power went off and we waited, time raced to 4 and then to 4.30 still he wasn’t there, at that time the constable felt pity on us and said “well I guess he will be late, so let me just show you about how F.I.R’s actually are”

He was very helpful and showed me how they were, at 5.15 the handler finally came

He asked “Which crime cases do you want?” just like a salesman asking at a mall

As I hadn’t committed many crimes in my life (Besides stealing and lying in my childhood :P), I was thinking..

While my dad acting like a perfect customer said “Oji… koi bhi dedo, jaise ki murder, half-murder, ya phir…. attempt to murder…..” (Give any.. like murder, half-murder or attempt to murder) he was only asking about murder cases, I saw the handler’s face and it gave an expression which comes when a kid asks for adult magazines in a store, I couldn’t help but let out a short laugh (just like in the picture :P)

The surprised officer then said “Err.. We cannot give murder cases just like that, but here are some missing persons F.I.R’s”

I was excited and started taking them, but a bulb glowed (yes it’s THE bulb :P) in my head and I said to myself “missing people… that is not actually a crime…. is it?”(I would be a great journalist na.. :P)

I quickly thought and said to him “Missing person is not actually a crime, do you have kidnapping, theft or something like that?”

He finally pulled out a theft and a murder (yeah he gave one by my dad’s pressure :P) and a accident F.I.R report… I quickly went in to Xerox them…. 2 were over while power went again while doing the 3rd one… I knew I couldn’t count on power, so I sat down to copy them on paper, I had to catch a bus so that I could come to class the next day and it was getting late…… finally when I finished it writing in my beautiful (Read: Hopeless) handwriting, guess what, power came… we got another copy and when we went to return them, the F.I.R’s the handler said

“Why so late, I thought you ran away or something….”

“Well we dint knew 5 minutes were so important to you sir, we are extremely sorry”, my dad said sarcastically, and I was all smiles :)

And the biggest happiness came in the form that, no one took a bribe to do the work... Hurray :P

Well that’s the story about how I had a brush with the of law and got the F.I.R’s, but the interview is still up for grabs… if anybody of you are world famous in India, or if you can find someone famous (not your dog or watchman :P)… do tell me, let’s see what happens there….

Till next time, have an awesome (and a crime free :)) weekend. Take care……

Love & Happy Endings ......

“There…. What should I sign this book as?” asked Smriti.
“With lots of love to Farhana Khan…and add happy birthday too…” said Ankitha
Smriti signed the book titled, ‘Love Will Find Its Way’ looking at it brought back past memories, but now they all were like a faint blur, smiling she handed the book back to ankitha.
Ankitha accepted and said “I am a big fan of your books Smiriti ji, when can I expect your new book?”
“Soon, very soon” answered smriti, and saw as ankitha left…

Her look fell on the window, it looked as somebody was watching, and he was acting as though he dint want to be seen, “Another stalker?” she asked herself,
It was just a month before a man named sampath kumar was arrested for stalking her, Smiriti was a successful novelist and a beautiful at that too, Within just a year, she had written herself to fame, literally, it had started out of the blue, she saw just sitting looking at the old photo album of college, when she saw the photo of her college sweet heart Rahul, whom she was in love with at that time, when she had asked him out, He had rejected her saying “I don’t date Behenji’s”, That was the day she had vowed she would never believe in love again.

But that day the photo album had triggered something inside her, and she started writing a story, a love story, where the girl meets the boy and they find their happy ending, one had turned into 10 and she was known as a queen of happy ending stories, even though the story of her life was sad, she found happiness through her stories, but at the core of her heart, she still never believed in love, when fame came towards her they were many who came near her, just as honeybees coming after a flower rich in nectar, including rahul, who had dared to ask her out, “I don’t date assholes” she had barked at him, she still remembered the dumb found look on his face.

She smiled and got up, it had been a stressful day, but she loved these book signing sessions, it was the 3rd this month, she had another book tour coming up, coming from a small town of shimla, Smiriti had come a long way, her parents had died in a plane crash 3 years ago, and she had survived college on a scholarship, at 22 she was proud of what she had made of herself, Now living in a busy city of Bangalore she was alone, with just her aunt and a couple of very close friends to take care of her.

She went to talk with the book owner, saying she was done for the day, when again the guy looked at her through the window, and now there was another man with him now, it looked as though one was desperately trying to ‘not be seen’ while another was talking to him, even though the other seemed least interested in the conversation “what are they doing…?” smriti asked herself, just then shopkeeper handed her handbag, thanking him she went out of the store..

She dint notice the men, she started walking and she saw them following her, “Not another time, that too so soon, my god, what am I a stalker magnet.......?” she smiled at her own question
"Next turn" she told herself "Next turn I am going to confront them, and slap one hard across his face and ask him, why are you following me?" she started walking a little fast, and turned into the next corner, she waited holding her hand up, she heard footsteps and was about to slap the man, when she saw it was a stranger, Embarrassingly she apologized saying “Sorry", the puzzled man looked back at her and muttered something, which sounded like crazy women, smriti turned back towards the road to see the men but she couldn’t find them anywhere, "Did I imagine him....?" she asked herself again, "I am talking with myself way too much today, If somebody heard me..." she bit her tongue and making a stop gesture to herself, she calmly walked home

She was reaching home, when she suddenly saw the "stalker" guy sitting at her footsteps, "Na, it can’t be him, I am imagining things" she told herself, when she saw the guy waving at her, she got puzzled and quickened her steps to see it was really him, she walked towards him, and he came running at her saying "I'm Sorry, I'm sorry, I'm really really sorry…….."he said,
"You better be..." replied smriti
"Yes I am, from the bottom of my heart" he replied, she opened her mouth to curse him, when he stopped her and said, "Before you curse me or jump to conclusions, listen to me once...."
Smriti dint say anything, "I will take that as a yes…" he replied "My name is Sameer Deshmukh, basically I am from shimla, but for work I am now here in Bangalore,”
“And why are you saying me this?” she questioned
“Because I am your new Neighbor….” he replied, smiriti’s face almost fell open, seeing that he added
“…And I am NOT a stalker” he smiled.
“Then what were you doing there at the book shop with your accomplice?” asked smiriti.
“That was not my accomplice, it was my friend, ok let me explain…., I am a big fan of you novels, even though they are girl material, I love reading them, I have read all you books, and when I got to know I was your neighbor, I just couldn’t believe my luck, so when I heard you were signing books at the book shop I ran to see you, when I reached there I met my friend at the window, and I dint want him to know I read your books, so I got nervous, and was acting all weird, but he figured it out” he answered
“You could have come in the shop….” Replied smriti
“I didn’t want to scare you….” he said
“Well you scared me more with your window act, Do you know I was going to slap you,… and where did you suddenly go after following me, you guys vanished like the wind when I turned in to that corner…”
“Well we figured that we were scaring you a lot more, and my friend reminded me about the stalker incident, so I thought I better meet you here itself, and apologize for the not-stalking act” answered sameer.
Listening to it smriti smiled and said “Well you dint actually scare me, but next time stick to the basic, ‘Can-I-have a cup-of-sugar?’ neighbor introduction, ok….”
“Promise……, so when are you moving from here?” he asked
Puzzled she asked “Why should I move?”
“So that when you move to another place, I can buy a place next to you, and introduce myself just as you told me….” He said smiling..
She smiled and said “No need for so much trouble, it’s all good” and started walking towards her house
Sameer ran in front and stopped her “But I feel bad for what I did, can I make it up to you by taking you to dinner?” he proposed.
“Well I am working on a new book so I can’t sorry” smriti was trying to brush him off
“How about a coffee then, I heard Coffee Day makes the best cappuccino around here” he replied
“Well…..” she pondered.
“Oh do you want me to beg now? Please let me repent for the terrible sin that I have done by not stalking you” he pleaded
Well it’s just a coffee she thought, and said “OK”

They went to the nearby coffee day, and talked about their lives, smirti was casual, very casual with sameer, and she found herself in awe because she had never felt so comfortable with a stranger before, and here she was sharing her life’s experiences with him, sameer was a thorough gentlemen, he listened intently and then told about how he had grown playing sports at state level and completed his MBA and was now working as a human resource officer in Infosys. The coffee turned into coffees after 3 cups each, and what surprised smriti was she hadn’t even liked coffee that much, till now. They both walked home and while saying byes, sameer said “I want to talk about your novels when are you free?”
“I guess Saturday…” she replied
“Ok then meet you after 5 days” said sameer, unlocked the house and went in.
Smriti smiled and was about to go inside her home, when she saw the beggar beside her house, she always took care of him, but hadn’t seen him in a couple of days, he made a gesture saying that he hadn’t eaten for 2 days, she took out a couple of twenty’s and handed it to the beggar, he smiled, she smiled back and opening the door went inside and went to sleep

Days passed and they met daily and waved and smiled at each other but dint talk, but whenever sameer saw smriti, there was a genuine warmth in his smile which smriti loved to watch, she was waiting for Saturday to come,
Saturday came and she was still in the bed when the phone rang,
“Hi you remember about our meeting right?” asked the voice
“Who is this?” questioned smriti
“See you forgot already, its sameer yaar” answered the voice
“How did you get my home number?” she asked puzzled
“Well the post man mistakenly left your phone bill to my home last morning, so….” He answered sheepishly. “I hope this doesn’t count as stalking, because I dint intently look up for your number….” He added
She smiled “I too hope so, Yes we are on for it” she replied
“Good, I will pick you up at 6, I know this new restaurant which serves killer Punjabi food and has a great view of the city, I hope you like Punjabi?” he asked
“If it’s not dripping in oil, then I am ok” she said
“Don’t worry, it will be great you will love it, see ya at 6 then… and the phone bill is under your door” he replied
“Thanks” she said and put down the phone.

After the morning rituals she continued to work on her new novel, it was about how kavitha the central character meets a stranger and falls in love with him, who is actually contract killer, and how she transforms him to leave crime and become better, she was not convinced with the idea, but she loved happy endings, “Though I never have one for me” she said to herself, she saw it was 3 in the evening, working on the novel she had even forgotten to have her lunch, closing the laptop she had her lunch, and while she was watching TV she fell asleep, The passing ambulance siren pierced her ears, and she saw the time was 5.30, remembering she was to be picked up at 6, she quickly showered and got dressed, the clock struck 6 and she was still wearing her sandals when there was knock at the door, “It must be Sameer…” She said and went to open the door.

She was surprised to find a policeman there,
“May I meet Miss Smriti Sharma?” asked the policeman
“You are talking to her” replied Smriti.
The officer face suddenly turned sad “I am sorry ma’am, Mr Sameer has met with an accident, and he is manipal hospital right now, you have to come with me right now” he said
Smriti quickly got into the police car, but at the intersection instead of turning to the airport road where the hospital was present, he turned to majestic, he must be taking a shortcut, she thought….
They reached the place, but it was not the hospital, it was ‘The Bell’ the finest restaurant in city, she was in shock about what was happening, she went in with the policeman, and saw sameer sitting at a corner table, she eagerly questioned him “What is all this?”
“Well you are always surrounded by stalkers and the non stalkers, for that matter, so I thought a police escort would be perfect, so did you like it?” he questioned
She looked at the policeman, he was smiling, she smiled too
Sameer introduced him as prakash, prakash was sameer best buddy, and he had said yes when he had proposed the idea, after a cup of coffee prakash left.
“you were so mean there, why did you have to do that, I was afraid that something might have happened to you, you ass…” snapped Smriti.
“Well I just wanted to point out a element of your novel smriti, because in your novels the girl is always taken well care of, well I thought why not me then…..” he answered
Smriti couldn’t believe she had met this man, he was funny, so full of care and she felt a strange sense of bonding with him, like she had known him from an earlier era, “Am I falling in love? Again?” she asked herself, she smiled at her own question.
He suddenly asked “How come all your heroine’s have happy endings in the novels?
“Well I had not so happy life, my parents died, and the man whom I liked in college turned out to be an ass hole, so I find my happiness through happy endings in my stories” She answered
“Well life is not always a bed of roses, because sometimes you face thorns too, have you ever thought about a sad ending to one of your stories, it could be a instant hit, you know” he suggested
“Yeah it can be, I never thought about it, thanks for the suggestion” she said smiling
“Well glad to be of help, I hope you find your sad ending soon” he smiled and raised the champagne glass; “To a sad ending….” she smiled and joined her glass to his.

After the dinner they got back in taxi towards home, they reached home soon, and after getting down, smriti started towards the house, sameer following her footsteps came in front of her and said, “Can I come inside your house to take a look, as how my favorite author lives?”
“Sure” she said and let him in.

He followed her in and she showed him the hall, the study, and when they were coming in the kitchen, suddenly the light went out, “Oh this power, it always goes out at this time, let me get a candle” smriti answered
“Well we have moon light coming out of the window, it will be romantic” he said and grabbed something behind his back from the kitchen table
“What do you have in mind?” questioned smriti
“Well just a little hugging and kissing” he answered and grabbed smriti and pulled her towards herself, she was puzzled for a moment, but she felt nice in his arms, she raised her lips towards his, sameer seeing it pulled out the kitchen towel he had hidden behind his back and tied it to her mouth tightly so she couldn’t scream.

And with another towel he tied her hands, and pushed her into the corner towards the fridge, her head hit the fridge and she was wounded, blood started oozing out, it all happened so fast that she was in a blur, there were many questions in her head which she wanted answers too, suddenly he looked at her

“You are so confused right now na smriti…., That what is happening how could a guy like me do this to you, well don’t worry bitch don’t worry, you will get the answers, but it’s so sad that you cannot complete your new novel, you know why?, because you won’t be alive to complete it…” he said laughing and picked up a meat knife from the shelf
“You are a perfect example of a bitch, you know that, do you remember sampath kumar, whom you thought had stalked you….. Whom you put him in jail, well he just committed suicide last week, you know why…. Because he couldn’t take the humiliation, he dint actually stalk you, he was so crazy fan of your books, that he fell in love with you, and he just wanted to kiss you… so when he was waiting for his chance that day, you put him in jail, seeing he couldn’t ever meet you again he killed himself with a piece of glass stabbing himself to death” he said almost crying

“I am his brother, and when I heard this news, I was devastated, I put up a plan, and bought this house beside you, it was costly and I had to shell out all my life’s savings, but I dint care, then I made a plan to meet you and take you into trust, I said I will meet you next week, cause I dint wanted you to suspect me, and today I got my chance, blame it on the power department, you were going to live another month, because I wanted to kill you when you least expected, but in the dark when you closed your eyes thinking I would kiss you, I saw my dead brother’s face in you, and anger took over me, I thought why not today?, let’s kill the bitch today itself, and here you are all bound and ready to die, don’t worry, I will kill you slowly so you feel everything, I want you to feel everything my brother felt when he died, I have the perfect plan for your murder, First….. First…. I will heat this knife, then….. Then…. slowly I am going to skin you alive like a animal, so that when the hot knife touches your wounds you scream in agony, then….. Then…… I am going to use this small knife and thrust them into your eyes and pull those out….. because those were the things my brother loved very much so I am going to gift them to him, when I meet him in hell……., You have to promise me to be awake all through it, so that you feel everything, you promise me na smriti….you promise na” saying this he started laughing like a psychotic…….

The fear in smriti’s eyes was like a deer trapped in a tiger’s trap, it was like something she had never felt before in her life, the adrenaline in her veins seemed like it would burst out any second… she looked as sameer started heating the knife… while he was at it, she heard a click and it seemed like the door to the front door open, she looked at it but it seemed like the wind from outside had opened it, sameer too looked at it and quickly went and closed the door, smriti struggled but she couldn’t do anything…. She saw sameer come back and pick up the knife, and slowly he moved towards her and said, “Here comes your sad ending bitch….Enjoy”

He slowly started skinning her arm, when smriti felt the hot knife on her skin, she felt as though she was being burnt, while another was putting chili powder on the burnt wound, it hurt like crazy, sameer started moving the knife towards her fingers, when smiti couldn’t take it any more she fainted..She got a kick to her head just as she was slumping to the ground, “Be awake bitch… I want you awake at every fucking moment when I do this…” saying that he started heating the knife again, smriti’s arms were all burnt up and blood was flowing out like water, “I will not survive this….. I can’t….leave me you animal” she screamed

“2 minutes bitch….. I am coming” replied sameer, there was burnt smell from her blood on the knife, “Here I come’ he announced and came towards her again he was about to skin her other arm, when he felt a powerful blow to the back of his head, he turned back, and the cricket bat hit his face making him faint, smriti couldn’t make out in the dark who was it… he came towards her and opened the towel from her mouth and hands and carried her to her bed, just then power came and she saw it was the beggar who lived beside her house, her hand was bleeding, he asked the ambulance number and dialed on the phone within 10 minutes the ambulance came and took her to the hospital..

She was sitting in the hospital bed, when the police inspector came and asked what had happened, she explained everything, and during the conversation he said, that sameer was good man, but his brother’s dead has made him mentally unstable, he was now in custody and facing multiple charges, saying not to worry any more he left. Smriti looked at her hand and started crying again… Even though she dint believe in love sameer had made him love again, and what had that turned into, she getting killed in her own pool of blood, I will never love again she vowed, but suddenly the beggar’s face came in front of her, he had saved her for the love that she had shown him, by giving him money, maybe love was not all that bad….

She had learned her lesson, that there are not always happy endings in life, sometimes there are sad endings, and one has to be careful every time so that they don’t find one, she looked beside the table and saw her laptop, she opened it and started writing another novel, this time it was her own story which she had just experienced, and even though the whole event was a walk through hell, in the end it was happy ending, because it had given her experience which she could never have had before “Hail happy endings” she said aloud smiling and dug into her laptop…….

I thank you for reading it..... and have a great weekend, take care

The man of this country that has come to become.......

'World is a place where man is the king and women is never the queen'
, thats how exactly what a man describes of a woman, and he is true when he says this because when a woman has power to become a king, why should she be a queen???Lemme exactly tell you how a man of this country thinks about a woman.......

Last Monday there was seminar held by our department, in there was a topic, Media and women. A lady named Poornima(She is the news head Of A.I.R in Bengaluru) spoke on this, she spoke about how media sometimes uses some situations like sexual harassment just for their own use, without the least bit concern about the women victims, reporters asking personal questions, questions that are unnecessary and irrelevant... she explained how media can do better, and also questioned that why women just have 33% quota in this country? And they should demand 50% in every aspect... I really liked the way she spoke, because it showed what women's problem's were and how they could be solved.

But one person broke my happy bubble, and it was senior of my college named 'G'(Read:Goofball), in the Q&A session, he said “Women just need not say, but they need to fight for the 50% quota that they demand for themselves”.

I was telling myself, “Thats what the women have been fighting for from the time we got independence, and even that 33% is not given accordingly, and this guy is saying fight for 50%.... WTH”, but I got furious when he said “Its not just women who are harassed, men also get harassed and exploited at work place, and how the dowry act is being misused and how many men are suffering due to this”, and people were clapping listening to this.

I was like what the fuc* are you talking about dude, men getting harassed and exploited!!, yeah maybe they are getting “exploited”, but is it really the case ??, is it more important than the problems, the women of today are facing, from fear of sexual harassment to rape, she lives in fear everyday,

The seminar got over and I was boiling with anger inside, due to some other things I couldn't say the same with the senior,(I dint even wanna see his face), but the real shocker came when I discussed this with my friend Maddy.

He was also the typical man saying, “Men are getting exploited and facing problems due to women, who are misusing the dowry act and blaming, my husband is demanding dowry, and making them face punishment”

I said “Ok that's one, but what are the other problems?”

He was mum, I then said “Do you know every day a woman lives in fear, from her birth to her death there are so many battles she fights and struggles to achieve to make a place for herself in the society, do you know how much pain she endures everyday?, how many sacrifices she has to make?”

He said “But still there are crimes going on men that needs attention too about how much he is suffering...”, I couldn't believe my ears when I heard this,

I replied “Why aren't you looking at the bigger picture here!!, there are more crimes going on women in a single minute, than that are are going on men in a whole year, and is it really more painful for a man to live by than, or for that woman, who gets exploited or harassed every day, and lives her whole life cursing with guilt that she shouldn't have born a women at all!!”

He seemed to understand this and agreed with me, and when I discussed the same with my brother, he to was pro man, and only when I said look at the bigger picture did he too finally understand.

I mean I don't understand, I never heard a man scream, “I got exploited today, I shouldn't have been born as a man itself”, while there is so much agony and pain in a voice of women when she says “I shouldn't have been born a woman”, I just pray that men start looking at the bigger picture than screaming next time “Men are also exploited....”.

The Week :)

So so so, another week and I am back, yeee haw (Its the Taylor swift effect :P)

Time passes by so fast na, because there are some moments in life which you want to rewind back and just keep experiencing it again and again. Ah for me this week was just as such...

Last Monday there was this journalism fest in a college and I was to take part in mad ad's, the product we selected was newspaper, and we had to show the 'other' uses of it, Ideas were put together and the act was set according to the concepts.

We practiced hard, and believe me I had stage fear till last month, but on freshers day, there was Saree wearing competition and I voluntarily (Read: Bound in chains) went to take part in it, in between all the fun that took place while my parter made me wear the Saree, and I laughing so hard that the Saree fell down. one thing went away from me never to return back, and it was my stage fear.

One month later, and here we were getting ready for the mad ad's, wherein one concept was that, I was “What's up man” (Buhahaha, I donno why I just did that :P) and I wearing a newspaper underwear(Orders on special request only :P) seeing another guy acting as 'superman', who had forgotten to wear his red underwear, was to say “where is your chaddi man?” hearing this he would run away while I posing as a super model in my paper chaddi walked away with models.(not male they were females :P)

I treasure that moment, I wanted to rewind and look back which I did while watching the video of it (Which I wont show you :P), but if I hadn't given up my fear that day while wearing the Saree, I wouldn't have been “whats up man” today.... I am so very proud, so very proud that I became of what I became.

Thats one, another incident concerns my bhabhi... My T.A bhabhi is the funnest(Its in dictionary all right :P) person I have ever met, she can make you smile even when you are crying, and she has been my constant source of motivation, but she is also my biggest leg puller, you had to see her laughing when she was making that paper chaddi for me, she even teases me now, and I guess its will go on for more than a month for sure, and with that she has kept a new name for me......

(Drumroll.....) Its Chaddi bear :P

She is the one person with whom no moment spent is dull, every moment is kind of just rewind-play-it back-rewind-play-it-back moments, its so very awesome, any time I feel sad, she comes calling me papad lal, or chaddi bear, now who wouldn't smile for that tell me.... ;), I am so grateful to have her in my life.

Well thats it for this week, see you next week, have a fun weekend take care :)

P.S: Another reason why I am very happy this week is because I am stealthily downloading music albums from my college lab, bringing my album count to 205 and song count to 9167 yeee haw ;)

P.P.S: Guess what my shopping friend 'D' said when I asked her what Rubik's cube was: “Colour color box” :D

Vieled Xpressionz

Today while i was returning in bus to my home, I saw something, it was so special, it was so beautiful, it was so unique, that for once I thought I had imagined it, I suddenly pinched myself, thats when I believed that it was for real.... lemme tell you what it was.......

It was a laugh of a woman.....

Looking at her laugh suggested that she dint care for the world or for the people around her, she just seemed to live, without the rules or the obligations to bind her, she seemed so happy and carefree, that I was just stunned looking at the beauty of that moment, no rules to hold her back, nothing to stop her, it was so special that words fail me to describe the moment.

But suddenly she stopped, and was looking from side to side, she pulled her veil on her head and sat back like she saw retracting in a shell, like she was thinking what others would think, like unseeing hands were telling her to stop, like unsounding voice giving her a warning, she seemed to abide by the “rules”, the “rules” of the “society”, which say that women should be within a limit, the limit which says she cannot express herself, which says, she is bound by the four walls inside the house, which says, she is a woman.

I was very very frustrated at that moment, thousands of questions played in my head, why I mean why has the world said that women should abide by “rules” made by the “society”. I mean who the fuc* made these so called rules?, why cant a women live as per her will?, when the constitution has given right for man and women alike. Why has the society differentiated saying, man is superior and women inferior?

You had to look the fear in the poor lady's eyes, like she had committed some sort of crime, it was so shameful, I felt so much pain at that moment, when I thought that this is what my mother, my bhabi's, my friends, have to go through everyday, they have to abide by the “rules”, which say you are not free... you are a some what lower species than “men”, which say that you are a Women.

I just cant believe what the world has come to, where a person cant even express oneself???. I mean why cant the world be a place where we just don't give rights but actually feel from our hearts that man and women are one, if you look at it a women does more work than a man in a day, whereas a man comes homes from work and cribs for a work not done, he gets furious for not making him a cup of coffee? And says “what the hell were you doing the whole day?”.

I just wanna say get into the shoes of a women for a day you lousy man and you will know what she does....but sadly no matter what, how much ever the “society” moves forward it will be the freaking same, it will still say women should be in a limit, that they are slaves and always should be. Thats what I hate, I hate this male dominated society, where a women has to live in fear every day.

A change is needed, where a man and women will be one, where the “society” wont be there to tell what a women should do and what shouldn't be done, where she will live whole heartedly and not just because she has to live by the “rules”, but where she can laugh when she wants to and cry when she want. But......

But, I think this cruel “society” will never abide by that, by either taunting or by restricting it will always hold her back, and even if she breaks free, it will force its so called rules and hold back this free spirit called women, because it knows, it knows that a women is far more stronger and far more powerful than a man.

Its only time till every women understands this and stands up for herself, and when that day comes, men will fear, they will fear just like that women feared to laugh, they too will be bound by the unseeing hands and unsounding voice. I just hope that day comes, and I pray with god that let it come soon so that everyone learns a lesson which they are supposed to learn.......

A 'Girl's' day out Part-2

Its Sunday on the clock, and thousif is back to blog, (cool rhyme eh? ;))

Well this past week has been eventful, in some ways it was awesome and in some ways its was sad, but one event surpassed it all by bringing happiness and joy in my life after a long time, and the event was the birthday of my shopping friend 'D' :)

Well you guys know about how I helped (Read: Suffered) 'D' with her shopping for her birthday and on 26th her birthday came, I had prepared my self earlier getting her gift which were 3 pairs of stylish(Read: Cheap) earrings along with a a very pricey gift wrap (It cost more than the earrings itself, you know :P)

(cute eh? :P)

But before the night of the birthday, my T.A Bhabhi was a lil unwell, so in that concern, I forgot to bring along the gift. I remembered this on the way to coll in the bus when I said “Oh, Shit”(The girl beside me eyed me with weird looks) and said to myself “I am dead, she is gonna be all over me demanding gift what am I gonna do?”

I decided to buy couple of 2 rupees roses on the road, but thought “No, mai sach ka saamna karonga, whatever happens let it be.”

I reached coll and waited for her, and some time when I saw her coming, I was lil surprised, cause everyone around her was wishing her and I said to myself, “Saala, Its not been 2 months since we joined college, and this girl is already so popular, hmmmm”. But only when she came to me that I knew what was the secret of her “popularity”.

She was saying everyone, “Hi, Its my birthday, wish me,Its my birthday wish me” I was puzzled “normal” persons always shy away from saying anyone its their birthday, and this girl was opening announcing it, I thought “ This girl will be the chicken in everyone's gravy today, everyone will ask her for a treat and she has to because they all have 'wished' her”

She came towards me and couple of guys waved their hands from the back saying “Don't wish, dont wish”, but I dint listen and wished her, then she asked for her gift I said, “There was no gift that matched your stupid err stupendous personality, so I dint buy any” she was disappointed and I couldn't see that, so I told her the truth “Its OK, but don't you forget tomorrow” she ordered, I saluted her with an army stance and agreed, she smiled and continued with the 'please wish me' regime.

I was just smiling to myself seeing her, she was living life to her fullest and I must say she got a lot more wishes than what I got on my last birthday ;), but couple of my friends dint wish her at all, they said “Till you get us sweets we wont wish you”. She apologized and said “I will get them by evening but please wish me now please” she begged but they remained adamant. I wondered why, and when I asked them they said “we have organized a surprise for her in evening, so we will wish her at that time itself”.

You had to see the how she was asking the not wishing guys to wish, but even after having a hearty lunch sponsored by 'D' they dint, she was visibly sad, seeing that I asked those guys to wish her, but they refused, in the evening she brought sweets from bakery and gave it to everyone, the not wishing guys said, “we will wish you come outside”, and when she went outside everyone brought in a big cake and huge gift. Then those guys closing her eyes brought her in and gave her the surprised, she was astonished seeing the change in the room.. after we sang happy birthday, she tried blowing the candles, tried, because they were magic candles and after 2 seconds would light up again, oh my god I was laughing so much seeing her trying to blow out the candles, she blew and blew till she was blue, just as her dress(which I selected :D)

(Thats the cake we gave her)

Then everyone feeling pity blew together, cutting the cake she distributed and that was where the real fun started, cause where there is a cake there has to be a cake fight right?, thats what exactly happened, cause she and couple of others were smeared in cake from face to hair to shoulders my god I thought I would die laughing seeing them... though I escaped with 'minimum' damage, and then after everyone got cleaned up, 'D' suddenly had tears in her eyes she said “This is the best birthday party I ever had, ever, you guys are the best friends I have got, and I think I will ever get”, we all joined in with her all emotional, and I gotta say, even if it was her birthday it was more of our birthday than her.

She opened the gift to find a big huge pink teddy, It was so very cute that I was hugging it more than her (Now I know why girls love teddy's so much ;))

(So cute Teddy na..)

When I returned the next day I brought her the earrings and she disliked the one I liked, but the other 2 which i dint like so much, I asked myself “when will I understand girls?” and the answer came automatically “Never”.

I talked with her and simply asked her “What is the most extreme thing happened to you?”,(I ask everyone that, cause you know I gotta boast about the fact how I was struck by a shock of a lightning and survived, so :P), she said “I got current shock when I was playing with the switches one time” I said “Everybody once in their lives gets a current shock, tell me something extreme” you wouldn't believe the answer she gave she said “I have eaten hailstones fallen from the sky” and I was like :P.

Thats it guys till next time god bless take care.

It Happened To Me :)

When was the last time you met a guy that you said for yourself, that “I want to be like this guy.............”well I don't know about you guys but for me I had met none, but when I met this person I immediately said those exact words.... he was so interesting that even quantum physics will seem like a boring subject (But when you come to think of it, Physics is a boring subject isint it? :P)

So here is how it all happened, couple of days back our seniors informed us, that there is this person who wants to hire students as part timers to do volunteer work in PR(Public Relations) and interested guys can meet him in a Cafe at 2.30 sharp. I had to attend a wedding that day along with my frenz,(It was boring as hell but the Carrot Halwa was scrumptious :P) but I and a couple of others somehow managed and made it. On time (Indian and on time???... Shabashi toh do yaar.... ;)).

We went in the cafe and saw the person whom we had to meet speaking with somebody else, we sat down on a free table, I was having hundreds of thoughts at that moment like, “Are the oatmeal biscuits kept here free?”, “Can I eat them?”, when he came and joined us....

Krishna B Mariyanka, Head Of Aikya Global (The name doesn't ring a bell right??.... It soon will) he introduced himself, and said how he has a 10 month old business of Communications and PR, and how he has the small client circle which include SHELL and TATA's sub company named Jisco or tisco (I don't remember, cause I was too mesmerized listening to him... :)), and some others, that captivated my interest completely, because as you know how Shell is the number 2 oil company in the world, and they are no way small......

He further told how he organized events for them, and also how he had organized more than 1200 events in his career spanning more than 20 years working for different companies, which also include organizing of a miss world event which was held in India in 1998 which he was part of.... I was just sucked in more and more towards his experiences, but the real shocker came when he said how he had started working for 6000/month in 1995 to 2008 where he was earning 2,50,000/month as the head of corporate communications in Shell, which he had resigned so that he could have his own business set up. I ask you who does that??, Nobody, because that needs courage and this guy seemed to have plenty of it, Plenty.

He then said about how one should not run towards something, just because it seems glamorous, and everybody else is doing it, but one should do what his heart says, and how he/she should work towards it to achieve the desired goals, he mingled with us in such a manner like we knew each other for years.

He asked each of us what our interests were in and offered us genuine help whenever we need some, over a cup of cappuccino, he joked, he mingled and captivated our minds with such elegance that we were just left spell binded....

After telling about how we could work for him, we parted and as I came out I was looking towards him from the window and was just telling myself one thing, “I wanna be like this guy...” cause he went towards his dreams and in way is still pursuing some of them, and I took a decision that whatever happens for sure one day I will reach where I wanna be, for sure I will

Take care c ya next time............

A 'Girl's' day out ;)

Couple of Days back, for the first time in my life, I did a great achievement, I did something all the men dread to do, I did a thing that I am not so proud of, but still am, sort of ;), wanna know what it is????, Well........

I went shopping with a girl :P

I can already see your face expressions, guys would be laughing their asses off saying “Dude.........”, and girls would be thinking what's the big thing in that?, correct hai na..

About the experience what can say........, was it valuable? Yes. Was it good? Not so much, Was a lesson? Definitely yes ;).

It all started when my friend, 'D' told me, “I wanna buy a dress for my birthday” I was all enthusiastic, and I said “I would love to help” cause I never had gone for shopping with a girl, I had heard “rumors”(Read: Truth) that, it will be experience through hell and you will be crying at the end of the day, so whenever my frenz who were girls asked me to come shopping with them, I had always shied away from it, but my brain was frozen as I had eaten a lot of ice creams that day. So I agreed.

She said “I want to buy jeans this time” And I said “I know a nice place where I buy jeans, but they have also a girls section, so you can check it out”, she agreed, and when we reached the place, she suddenly saw a long line of shirts and started seeing through them, I saw her till she made a decision screening through almost 60 shirts and after trying a couple of them, she said she dint like any, and after I followed her out, she blamed me saying “There isint a nice thing there!!, what shop is that?, No nice selection itself!!” I said “ Ok baba, but why did you just browse through shirts, you said you wanted a jean right?”, she said, “Na I don't want one now, lets see if they have any salwars”, I agreed and went to another shop nearby, she browsed again, and said, not good, I agreed this time, cause the shop keeper was only showing BLUE dresses (He seemed like a huge fan of the film!!), So we went to another shop which she suggested.

Being 3 years in Mysore, this silly girl still doesn't know, which road leads to where, she asked me to guide her through(The just arrived guy :P), and some how I manged to get her to her shop, and that’s where the real torture started. She went in the shop, and the sales girl started showering us with salwars, literally.

She was selecting and I was repenting, for the decision, the sales girl picked many, but she dint like any, then the fed up sales girl said, “you only come here and decide”, she went beside the counter,. And started browsing, she would pick one and ask me, ok na?, good na?, I had to answer, that too faking a smile on my face, and after trying more than 6 dresses, she seemed to like one, but was still asking me, “Its good na, its good na?” when I said “Yes, its better than the rest”, she dint seem to agree, so she tried out 3 more dresses, and when finally some other customer pleaded, “Can you please lend me the room?, I have to reach home early today”, only then did she leave the changing room, and finally asking me 5 more times, she agreed to buy a dress, which I had earlier said yes too.

When we got out, I had sweat on my face, even though we were just coming out of an AC show room, so you can imagine what kind of situation I had to go through, but when she said “Birthday dress is the most special dress for me, thank you for the help” and smiled at me, I thought it was worth it. You know the difference in a guy's shopping and girls shopping is that girls buy with their heart whereas we buy with just money. I think that’s where we feel short, it’s the heart that matters and I think they got plenty of it.

Saying that I wish all my readers a very happy and prosperous diwali, have tons of fun, be smiling and be safe ok, take care :)

Peace, Frustration, Anger and a lil of WTF-Part 2

Amidst all the chaos happening due to floods in 2 states in the past week (i.e Andhra and Karnataka), there is one thing that is going on which needs more attention, No its not the politicians eating up fund money, that will come later, its what the “government”(if you can call that...), has provided for the flood victims.

The central government has done an air survey of the damage occurred, and the official reports state that the damage was more than 16500 crore rupees in karnataka, guess how much the “government” has provided, just fifty two crores, I just couldn't believe it, WTF yaar??, I guess the quote “what you see, is what you get” got a whole new meaning na??.

I was not bothered by it that much, I just thought “Fuc*ing political game play”, but when I looked at a newspaper, where they had said about the resources alloted for 2 states, I got so angry that I tore the newspaper(what else I could do?? :P)

Just look at the list an you will know for yourselves.

Resources alloted:

For Andhra
714 NDRF personnel
235 Motor boats
310 Life saving Rings
655(225+430) Life Jackets
700 Army Personnel
23 Special Boats
11 Boat Motors
11 Navy Rescue Squads

For Karnataka
12 Special Navy Boats
6 Boat Motors
200 Life Jackets
4 Dive Squad
Group of 22 Emergency Personnel

Before you say I am regionalist or something like that, lemme clear it out, I am NOT. I just want you to know the discrimination that has been going on, looking at the list its just like, a sackful for Andhra, and a handful for karnataka. It just goes to show that in the political game play that goes on, its the common man who ends up suffering the most.

I know in andhra the destruction is more than that of karnataka, but that doesn't men, here nothing happened, people are dying by the day because of less resources, and when I am getting so angry, think about the victims how they might be feeling being in the situation.....

Its the freakin same, when congress was the ruling party in karnataka, and BJP was in the centre, the famine problem came up, and they sanctioned so less, that it wasn't even seen by the needy, because the politicians only ate that up, and now when BJP is in state and congress in centre, the flood problem has come in, history gets repeated, AGAIN. At least this time people of the state itself are coming forward to give the money, and more than 500 crores were collected in just 24 hours, when karnataka state CM yediyurappa decided to do a road rally to collect the money, I really appreciate him for that.

I know more than 60% of the funds will be gulped down by the greedy bureaucrats itself, but at least something will reach the needy, so that they can get back to their lives, thats the only ray of light (if you can call that one).

Greedy becoming fat everyday, help not reaching the needy, I mean WTF is wrong with these people......, I don't know when the situation will improve, when the “government” will think, when a disaster strikes to 2 or more states, you don't look at the ruling party, but at the suffering people, and think all states are equal, and we should allot resources as per the need, so that the victims will get the help which they deserve. Until then I guess there will be more chaos than the disaster itself.... Shit and WTF is all I can say......

A Little Consience Clearing Session

I wore my first “Armani” T-shirt when I was in my 8th standard, and everyone was totally impressed seeing me in school, I took in the moment though I never told them that it was fake :P and it had just cost me 80 bucks at that time :P

Well life is sometimes like that isn't it?, when you get praise for something that you don't deserve, you stealthily take it, As much as you conscience tells you to tell the truth, your tongue just doesn't let it. An age old favorite “Quote” of my friend comes to my mind “Free ka maal babuji ka maal”.

I have passed with the exact situation a couple of times, where I have took in praise for free, without actually deserving it, I wanted to tell them that its not true and sometimes have even told them, but they are so adamant that they wont believe me, it makes me feel guilty that I am stealing something that is not my own. And it hurts, not much, but just a little, like a thorn stuck in your finger, the pain is not much but still its nags you real bad, and till that thorn is out of your hand you are not at peace.

Well as the name of the post suggests I am here for a lil conscience cleaning session, well the secrets that I am about to let out may seem down right silly, I can already see your answer after reading the post saying “Dude thats not even a secret, you are just being silly”, well maybe I am, but I somehow today I felt that I should clear out a couple of secrets, so here goes......

The one thing that has always nagged me and still sometimes does is that, when my family thinks I am a Big Computer geek, they think I am the Mahamahim of computers or something like that, and always praise me and say “Thousif, Ah he is a wizard with computers” and when I promptly say that I am nothing of sorts and that I just know the basics, they don't believe me itself and say “Oh Thousi stop being so modest, you know you are too good at it”, if only they knew the truth that I couldn't even pass my basic C programming practical exams (That computer language went straight over my head, rather going into it :P), I was like the least scoring student in computers, and when I tried saying I am more interested in writing i.e Novel writing and short stories, they were like “That doesn't have a definite future where as this does Thousif, so concentrate upon this”.

When I flunked in my science Exams in my 10+2 which included failing in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (You must be wondering how I passed my degree right? :P) but miraculously I had passed in my Computer science subject, and that made their belief more strong that indeed I was a “Wizard”

My god they told me every time when they caught hold of me, that “You should join Jet king”, “you should join IIHT, it will make a future to you”, as much I tried to convince them they were adamant, but due to my so called satyagraha's I finally made them realize that I was more into writing than the computer world, so they let me pursue my dream, but still the belief remains that I am “Computer Wizard”, and I just take in the praise with out actually deserving it.

Another was when they said “He cares about you, But talks a lil less thats it”, truth was I never really cared, the reason for that was, my so called relatives were only interested in gossip, ughh I hate that word itself, even when I wanted to to tell them I am not interested, my cousin sisters were like, “listen to this, that girl in my class is a total bitch blah blah blah, that guy is so hot blah blah blah” and I had to pretend that I cared because they would literally tie me to chair and make me listen, oh the torture, when I tried to say I just don't give a damn, they would get all teary eyed and would say “You don't care about us na” and as I hate tears I was forced to so “I was just kidding ya” with a fake smile of course and they would say “How sweet of you, you really care about us na” and I was like..... you can guess right..... :P

Well even till today the “whiz” and the “you care about me(Read:Gossip)” comment goes on and I just take the “praise”, I don't know how much more I can take it, and I cant even open my mouth also, because if I do they will get hurt, damn that thorn hurts, hmm lets see when I will find a nail cutter to pick it out.

Wanna help me out on this?, or blast me with your comments, you are most welcome :)

P.S: If you think this post resembles choco's writing, i am missing her posts so that might be it ;)

Till next time this is the “Whiz kid” signing out. Peace. :)
